So, I have 3 new pieces of electricity.

#1:
MACBOOK!!!

Isn't it beautiful! I love it. I know, I should probably get a PC because I'm going to be an engineering major, but I called Cal Poly, and they said get what you want. And I want MacBook! so I got it. I love it. It's fast, and user-friendly. So, we're friends.

#2:

Cell Phone: Samsung A737

I just got it yesterday (Monday June 30th). If you look back to a previous post, I posted pics of my old phone. It was pretty bad. I like the new one, but it's gonna take some getting used to since I had the old one for almost 4 years. It's Bluetooth compatible, which leads me to my next item...

#3:
Bluetooth Headset: Motorola H700 (as if you'd care)

This little bugger will keep me from getting pulled over. You should know that as of today, you're not aloud to drive while holding a cell phone up to your ear. I did a test call with Kevin. It's not that great. But w/e.

Here's me with my new headset

Now it's time to get serious

parents come home tomorrow.
I guess I should go clean.
I have to wait a little though.
Need to get to the gym sometime today.
Haha, im making myself think I have a lot to do.
I guess it's the only way to keep me from getting bored.

For all of July I have to go to Seussical Rehearsals. I'm really not looking forward to being busy from 6:30 to 9 every weekday. The play is so stupid, but I have to do it. I'm considering getting injured on purpose so I can get out of it.
So I'm not going to be able to see a lot of my friends unless they're chill with hanging out after 9. Which I guess isn't too bad.
Cuz I have work from 2:30 - 5:30 every day
That's prime hang-out time. I wish I worked mornings.

w/e, the pay is good.
bye

Hey,
It's been a while since the last post.
Summer is in full swing and saved me from those last two weeks of High School which were hell for me.
My dad and step mom are gone. Sean, my step-brother, and I have been left with a house that's a little too fragile for 18 year olds. But nothing is broken yet, I think.
I finally went a night without partying. The house didn't.

I've kind of been irritated with a few of my friends lately. I think I'll just take a short break from them.

So,
Playing Piano for the musical Grease and helping the cast learn their songs has been taking over my life.

It's so much work.  But it's fun because it's all seniors, who are obviously the best people around.

I'm going to Yosemite Sunday Morning!!!

I know, that picture is a little big, but deal with it.
We have to be there at 4:45 am, which is going to be difficult, but it's going to be an amazing week.

THEN
.
.
.
it's PROM!
woo.  I'm pretty excited for that too.  It'll be a fun night filled with good company.
I'm Not excited for the cost of the whole night though.
I'm going to get fitted for my tux rental tomorrow.

Another great thing that I'm looking forward to is seeing my former piano teacher.
I haven't seen her since March 6, 2007.  She was leaving for Korea (her homeland) to get married, but she said she was coming back to So. Cal.
A few days ago, I was scrolling through my e-mail contacts, and saw her name.  I e-mailed her, she e-mailed me back, she's back in the U.S., and hopefully I'll see her soon.
She's awesome.

Cool
I just came back from Mexico today.  It was a good trip.  I went with church in a group of 15.  We built a house!
The house we built was in this really, really poor area.  The houses were little shacks.  The dirt roads were super bumpy with huge puddles.  There was trash EVERYWHERE.  It was really amazing how people 4 hours away live like this.

So we built this family a good sized house of sound structure.

Everyone is having their birthday.  It seems like July is the month to conceive!

It seems like LJ is the place to be ambiguous.  A place to give little hints about the big personal things of your life.  Lemme try it out:

SICK of errthang.  wouldn't mind a _____ to make it through.
the baker's running out of dough.  maybe he's eating it all.
no time to hit the road.
no time to nap
no time.
no.
no, i'm becoming an adult
no i'm not
no, i'm not doing hw
no, im not going to fail
No, I wasn't talking about life
But, about life, will I?

Bahumbug!
Last night (4/12) was my step-mom's birthday.  It sucked, at least for me.  We went to dinner and a play.

DINNER:
We ate at the Parkway Grill.

It's basically a place for the 60 and up club to meet.  I ordered the Baramundi fish.  I think it cost $37.  It was mediocre at best.

PLAY:
We sat through the torture of My Fair Lady.

That is by far the most terrible play.  It was soooo boring.  The music sucked, and nothing really happened.  The plot was this:  A young woman learns how to speak proper English.  I am so disappointed with those 6 hours I just lost.  Even though we sat in the very back row of the balcony, the seats were $40 each!

On another note, I have a funny story to tell you.
Today in Statistics, I got a strange phone call.  The call was from a blocked number.  I was across the class from my distracted teacher, so I answered it.

I had bad signal, so it was hard for me to figure out who it was who was calling me.  It was a girl named Tina (I don't know of any Tina).  Emilio decided to talk to this girl to figure it out.  She thought that when I handed the phone to Emilio, she was still talking to me.  Emilio figured out that she was in Learning Lab.  He could tell that she was wanting a full on conversation.  He told her that we were in Ms. Leung's Statistics class.  Emilio talked for about 2 minutes.  I thought the call already ended and he was just playing a trick on me.  I snatched the phone from him and saw that she was still on the line.

A little bit later, I got a text from this Tina person.

WTF?

I went outside to find this:

OKAY WEIRD!

I think this is a prank.  Yesterday, Kyle set my Facebook status to: "prank call this number: XXX-XXXX-XXXX" (he put my real cell number)
DO YOU KNOW A TINA JAMESON?!?!?!?!

PS: I know my phone is shitty

Hopefully I'll get a new one for my Birthday (which is in 4 days)

As you might have figured out from my previous post, I was rejected from the University of Southern California (USC).  I really want to go there because 1) My mom works there so I'd get free college; 2) it's a really good school.

Even though the chances of being accepted after appealing are slim to none, I figured: why not?  I made this decision to appeal just yesterday, so it's been a trip to get it all together by Monday April 14, 2008.

Just today at about 12 noon, I decided to include letters of recommendation in my appeal.  They didn't ask for any, but Emilio is doing it, so I decided I will too.

My next class was Statistics, so I asked my teacher, Ms. Leung to write it.  She was groaning that it was due Monday, so she told me to write it and just have her sign it.

I just finished it and sent it to Denise to make revisions.

SIDE NOTE:  Denise is an awesome family friend!  She works at USC, so she helped me with the original application, and now is helping me with the appeal.  She is so helpful.  She knows exactly what the admissions office is looking for. She basically wrote my appeal statement.  She's also writing another letter of rec for me and getting her father to sign it (he's in the inner-circle of USC).  Bottom line, Denise is awesome.

She'll then send it back to me (revised), and I'll send it to Gigi (Ms. Leung).  Ms. Leung will make revisions and then sign it.  Hopefully I can get it signed by tomorrow, so I can put the whole shebang together for Denise to put in the "right hands" (some guy in admissions who wrote my rejection letter) on Monday.  It's very stressful.

I don't see how Emilio can do this times 6 (he's appealing all over the place).  We're both sick, so it's really not a fun time.

So, my spring break is coming to an end.  Today was lame.  It took me an hour to wake up.  I hate when this happens.  I was stuck in my house alone until 1pm, and then I finally went to hang with a friend.  I had to go to church at 5:15pm for choir practice and to take a family photo.  It's really hard to get 5 people to all look decent.  Whatever, it's just a photo.  We're all beautiful in real life - ha.

Then my Dad guilt-tripped me about doing a "Senior Sermon" for Youth Sunday at my church.  What is this?  Well every year, all of the graduating high school seniors give a mini sermon in church.  It's not that I'm scared of public speaking, I just don't want to put in the work.   Originally, Youth Sunday was when I was leaving for a school trip to Yosemite.  I thought I was off the hook, but tonight, they were thinking of changing the date.  I told my parents that I didn't want to do a senior sermon, and that they shouldn't change the date.  My dad was mad about this, and made me feel guilty.  I left church at 7 and just now my dad called me to say that they did change the date.  There were 3 other seniors who couldn't do that date either.  BUMMER, now I have to do it.

Soo my spring break ends lame.  It actually started bad too.  I ran into trouble with the cops, and was depressed for 2 days.  I went to San Francisco with a bunch of friends, which was awesome, but now I have to get back to everything I hate.  Including deciding for which college I want to go to.
I have it narrowed down to Santa Clara University:

or Cal Poly San Luis Obispo:

I'm leaning more towards Santa Clara today.  It's in a way more interesting location: The silicon valley, 1hr south of San Francisco.  It has a nicer campus.  Student body of 5,000. Smaller classes.  Higher graduation rate and everything. Better dorms.  But, it costs $50k a year while Cal Poly costs $20k.  It's not as well known for Engineering as Cal Poly is.  But it still has a great program.  And their offering me $17k in financial aid.
Ultimately, I'm looking to transfer to USC.  My mom works there so it would be free.  It's also 20 min away from my house, so I could stay home.  We'll see.

Sun
This is my first entry.
I'm real glad that the Sun finally came out to play.  I get depressed with bad weather.  Now I'm happy.  I also got a Checking Account today.  It was getting kind of ridiculous paying cash every time I bought gas.  GOOOO Debit cards!  I saw a friend's dad at the gym.  I hate seeing people I know at the gym.
